We are accredited with both RTITB and National Plant (NPORS), who are both founders of the ABA for Workplace Transport (ABA WT) for our Forklift Training Courses. We are audited annually in line with these schemes to make sure that we keep the excellent standards in place, that our customers expect and deserve. All of our instructors are accredited with one or both of these schemes, so you can be sure our service will be of the highest standard.
Forklift Truck Training
- Training courses run either on site at customers premises or at our training centre in Trafford Park, Manchester.
- Courses are accredited with either RTITB or NPORS, or we can provide 'In House' restricted certificates.
- PDF certificate of basic training is included and emailed shortly after training has been completed (hardcopy and ID card are an optional extra).
- We also include comprehensive handbooks to help with the theory.
- Tests are included as part of the course and will be completed on the final day.
- At our venue, we have facilities available for hot drinks, a fridge and microwave for any food.
What Course is Right For Me?
There are various different types of forklift, such as Counterbalance and Reach trucks, and the course that you will need to complete will vary depending on your specific circumstances.
Depending on your experience, you'll fit in to one of 4 different categories.
Novice/Beginner Course
3 - 5 Days (depending on number of candidates)
No requirements.
Experienced Operator Course
2 -3 Days (depending on number of candidates)
Previous experience required (minimum 6 months).
Conversion Course
3 - 5 Days (depending on number of candidates).
Evidence of training on another type of forklift is required.
Refresher Course
1 Day
Evidence of previous training on the truck type is needed.

4 years ago I made one of the best decision in my life of getting 5 day Counter balance course with them. We studied from the booklet watching videos and power points presentations. It is very enjoyable to sudy with them. The tutor was great, he had a good balance of being serious and laid back. After successfully done the course I was recommended at my workplace to work as a team leader (I think due to this missing qualification) and since I got the position I could afford to have a car. It was huge life improvement for me. Not so long ago I had my refresher with them we watched videos and had new booklet more thiner than the privious but it was enough to refresh my memory what I should and shouldn't be doing with the f.l.t. we had practice on the truck and then the test.
