Coronavirus (COVID-19) Policy

We're taking the Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat seriously, and want to ensure you that we are doing everything in our power to ensure the safety of all of our customers and visitors at our premises and whilst we're training on site.

Below is a copy of our COVID-19 policy.

Excell Lift Truck Training Limited Notice to Customers and Visitors

We would like to state how we are responding to the global health crisis and reacting to the continuing global developments regarding the outbreak of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.

‍At Excell, we know these are worrying times and that you’re probably trying to ‘carry on as normal’ whilst doing your best to look after friends, family and colleagues. As an employer and service provider, we’re taking our responsibilities to proactively respond to Coronavirus – Covid-19 seriously.

Looking after our colleagues and customers is our priority, which is why we’ve reviewed our previous measures and added the following measures and procedural changes to the way our training is being delivered. Excell Training has established several activities to ensure business continuity and the health, safety and well-being of our staff and visitors.

Changes to our In-Centre Visits - protecting you and your operatives

Please can you ensure that anyone visiting our Centre:

Additionally, all visitors must adhere to the health and hygiene guidelines displayed at our location. This includes social distancing [2 metres apart] from other members of the group and staff wherever possible. Visitors and staff will be temperature monitored on arrival and face masks/coverings will be required and supplied if necessary, although we encourage visitors to bring their own where possible.

Face coverings are not PPE and should not be used as a substitute for suitable risk control measures. Face to face work will be minimised wherever possible. Our primary objective continues to be the health, safety and well-being of our staff and business partners and to ensure normal business operations.

PERSONAL HYGIENE

This is the most crucial step for all of us to combat the virus and keep everyone safe. All staff and visitors are being asked to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly with soap and hot water. Hand sanitisers and tissues are available in all our locations for both staff and visitors to use on a regular basis.  Truck contact points will be wiped down with medical grade antibacterial wipes after each operator use and hand sanitiser gel has been provided on each machine.

Visitors and staff will be asked to keep mobile phones, keys, etc. in their pockets and not to put them on the tables in the classroom. Trays are provided in the classroom which visitors can use to put any other personal belongings into.

Shared surfaces such as tables and chairs will be wiped down at the end of each day with the medical grade antibacterial wipes. Paper towels are provided in the toilet, together with handwash soap and water.

Hot drinks will be provided in single use disposable cups.  Sugar, milk, etc., is provided in individual portions and single use disposable stirrers/spoons have been provided.

Changes to our On-site Visits - protecting you and your operatives

We’ve made sure that all our Instructors have face masks/coverings, gloves and sanitiser wipes so they can continually ensure they’re able to keep their hands and materials clean and sanitised.

Our Instructors are aware that many of you will have put in place your own precautions such as asking visitors to wash their hands or use sanitiser on entry to your buildings, or sign disclaimers. All our Instructors will be fully compliant in helping you to mitigate any risk by complying with any reasonable requests, but since we have less control over what happens away from our Centre, and considering how social distancing can be maintained, this may mean reducing class size where suitable distancing cannot be maintained otherwise.

Should you need to close your site for any reason and have a training course booked, please let us know so that we can advise instructors not to attend site. Please note that we will still need to charge for any contracted / scheduled courses that are cancelled at the customer’s request.

For further information or queries regarding our centre or operations, please contact us.

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation, and for your ongoing commitment to Excell Training during these unprecedented times.  We are confident that if we all remain sensible and careful, we can still deliver a successful course. We hope you and your staff remain well too.

Tina Pearson, Director.
